Changes

For those of my readers out there wondering what I'm up to these days well here ya go.

I was supposed to be starting my instrument training at Utah Valley University buttt

I decided to change my major.

You hear it a million times 'The average person will change their major 7 times' and I always thought pooor people. I'm glad I know exactly what I want to do with my life. I guess I was wrong. This is the time you really learn about yourself and your characteristics, traits, talents, likes, and what you really want out of life.

No more Proffesional Pilot for me.

But it's ok cause I still am and will always be a Pilot

It was a hard decision but I truly think there's something out there that will fit me better career wise.

And now I have the besttt hobby.

I'm still a little bit obsessed with airplanes don't worry.

So now what?

Really I haven't got a clue.

I'm planning on starting school in January at either BYU or BYUH

I'm leaning more to Hawaii cause uhh it's Hawaii!

And it is where my dad is from! What a great opportunity to learn about where's he from and their culture.

But as for right now?

I spend nearly every day romping through orchards, practicing my spanish and checking apples.

Seattle

Because spending two months just wasn't enough we headed up to Seattle three days after we got back to have a little reunion with some AK peeps.

Angie is who we refer to as 'Mom' seriously she's amazing and knows everything about everything.

When I couldn't hear out of my left ear it was her who told me to pour hydrogen peroxide in it.

When Colin, Tane and myself couldn't get the tin sliver out of my hand it was her who told me to use pin bone plyers.

Anyways she's awesome and has never been to Seattle before and she lives like a half hour away. So we picked her up and made our way to the big city stopping first at the Library. Super cool building. I would read alot more if I lived close to it.

We took a Ferry ride to Bainbridge Island and back.

After we went to Pikes Place Market where we saw Cyde's future husband. (Cyde is a HUGE hula hooper.)

And met up with more of the 'Wolf Pack' which is what we called our little group in Ak.

David or brother wolf was the one who started it and Shantel was spending time in Seattle before she went back to Ohio!

After a couple tries, we finally found the gum wall!

I can't wait to see Angie and Shantel again.

But the fun didn't stop there. We headed home the 'less traveled way' which means no open gas stations at two in the morning and I needed several. Because of this issue I was exceding the speed limit and got pulled over and couldn't find the registration. But luckily no ticket! We saw like 4 herds of deer on the side of the road and ended up running over an already dead dog. =( I brushed my teeth to keep me awake and we finally made it home about 4. I love being young!

Dillingham Season 3

 Pre-season it was nice.

Went to the lake where there was this awesome seaplane!

The last frontier is soo beautiful.

After the lake, Richard took us to the dump to go shooting.

Alot of the girls had never shot before so it was cool to see how excited they were.

The boatyard is still full of boats. Not a good sign preseason.

Arianna knew what was soon coming.

We had a late start this year and luckily nice weather. During evenings inbetween the bunk houses was the place to be.

Dillingham is a pretty small town, with two grocery stores and a bar and thats pretty much it.

So we had to entertain ourselves.

Good thing our awesome friend Cyde (like clyde without the l) found this hula hoop!

It kept us all entertained.

And yes that's Daniel, one of the Colombians I visited. He came back!

And here is Sarah who I met in Costa Rica!

Then one day the work began. This is what we looked at for 18 hours a day.

Rubber boots and concrete are tough on one's body.

We work hard inbetween checking cans!

It's pretty amazing how close you get to the people you work with. The line QA's! and our favorite machinest Kevin (who really is a QA at heart).

We even hung out with him outside of work! He is an incredible dancer. Fishermen came up and asked if we were ok and if he was bothering us. Never! Kevin may be an old alchoholic but he is one of the nicest funniest people I know.

It was incredible to see the Colombians again!

STUARTT! Has an awesome name.

There was even a cowboy!

One of my new besties is Cyde also known as Mustard!

It's soo hard to say goodbye to some of the people.

But luckily she only lives 3 hours away! Woohoo

It really is a special place. Where else can you make good money and meet people from all of the world?

Every year I say never again but we'll see. =)

Vancouver 2010

That's right! Because Vancouver, B.C. Canada is only 5 hours away and we have family there we decided we couldn't miss the Winter Olympics!

We had tickets to see US vs Russia Hockey!

We kicked butt. 13-0 if I remember right.

There was more than one 'Olga' on the team haha

There was tons to see and do in Vancouver

And we had two very good tour guides!

Malia and Joy, pretty much the coolest cousins ever.

They are heavy.

Stupid fence wouldn't let us get close.

 They had awesome light shows every night and it was so crowded. The night the Canadian Men's Hockey team beat Norway the streets were insane. Everyone was yelling and cheering. It was so awesome! I can't imagine what it was like when they won the gold!

There were tons of booths and things from every country. Here is the Swiss Army one where they took your picture and it turned out like this:

This was another sweet thing. It was displayed on the wall as a huge computer screen and it took your picture and you typed in your email and it sent it to you!

Although we were only there a couple days it was soo awesome to see Malia and Joy and Aunt Linda and be part of something so big.
