Hale'iwa

On the North Shore there is a small surfing town called Hale'iwa. It's a super cute town with lots of shops. It's the place to buy souvenirs, find out about surfing lessons, and to eat.
We love taking the bus there!
It's home to the famous Matsumoto's shave ice!
Delicious! I wouldn't recommend getting the red beans in the bottom though.

This particular day was crazy raining!! Good thing Cristine remembered her umbrella! She was sweet enough to share with me as we walked around.
This was the day we also discovered Paradise Scoops, an amazing ice cream place. (Yup, this is after the shave ice picture don't judge us)
It's home to the most amazing peanut butter cup ice cream.
It's also where I tried Japanese Mochi for the first time!
On the way home we had the whole bus to ourselves!! This is very unusual we just had to have the nice bus driver take a picture for us!
